Mail-in Service
GIANTFab is pleased to offer a mail-in service for researchers who cannot or do not want to travel to Northwestern to use our facility. Researchers can send fully fabricated devices to be tested in our glovebox, or simply send active layer materials to be fabricated into devices and tested in our completely oxygen- and water-free environment. Testing devices as-fabricated, without the possibility of environmental degradation, provides the best possible values for fill factor, efficiency, and external quantum efficiency. Some devices with very sensitive active layer materials simply cannot be tested outside of the inert environment.
As a service to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are providing our mail-in service at the same price as user-performed experiments, plus a 1-hour consultation charge for new projects. Additional devices or samples fabricated and tested using previously agreed-upon protocols will not be charged a consultation fee.
