Professor Mark Ratner introduces students to ISEN 210.
|
ISEN, this past spring, completed the first undergraduate course offering, ISEN 210: Energy Systems for the 21st Century. We are pleased to report that, in keeping with ISEN’s mission, undergraduate students from a wide range of schools, departments and programs enrolled. ISEN’s Co-Directors, Mark Ratner and David Dunand, taught ISEN 210, with assistance from guest lecturers who brought insight toward the issues of energy from various disciplines at Northwestern such as economics, architecture, sociology, law, engineering and policy.
ISEN’s Curriculum Committee has lead the development and approval of the following courses for 2009-2010: ISEN 120, ISEN 130, ISEN 430 and ISEN 440. ISEN 410, Topics in Contemporary Energy is being offered in the fall 2009 quarter.
Northwestern University offers a wide array of undergraduate and graduate courses that can provide multi-disciplinary instruction in the increasingly important areas of energy and sustainability. You will find a summary of those offerings in this section of the ISEN web site.
